I spent $1000 on electrical work today, to keep the apt safe. I have one of those "I did a good thing" feelings, but there is always something else to fix. The electrical guy changed something which caused the furnace upstairs to go out, so I called a furnace guy who told me the electrician needs to come back and fix what he broke. Yuck!
I tried to do a K-1 tax form. What a waste of time, it was impossible. I looked at the form and wonder - what exactly did this entity DO? It does not say their business! The figures are incoherent. Did it make a gain or loss? It appears to be a loss, but I'm not sure! It seems like a complete waste of investment. It made me think, this is what's going to happen with Bush's new social security plan, people will 'invest' in completely worthless things like this partnership. They won't be able to figure out their tax forms much less anything else.
